VSH genetics can help reduce dependence on chemical treatments while supporting healthier, more resilient honey bee colonies.

Do you ship bees or is it local pickup only?

Our live honey bees—including nuc colonies, package bees, and queen bees—are available for local pickup near Griffin, GA. We do not ship live bees.Package bees are available for pickup in late March, nuc colonies are available for pickup in late April, and queens are available from early April through early September. Nuc colonies and package bees are available to pre-order beginning in January and sell out quickly. We recommend placing your order early to reserve your bees for the upcoming season.If you are looking for queen bees, nucs, or package bees in Georgia, please contact us in advance for seasonal availability and pickup information.

Do you offer beekeeping mentoring for beginners?

Yes. We offer hands-on beekeeping mentoring for beginners at our Griffin, GA apiary, including private one-on-one sessions and small-group instruction for up to six people. We also provide on-site mentoring at your own apiary for more personalized, real-world guidance.During each mentoring class, we provide professional beekeeper suits and gloves to help participants stay protected and comfortable while learning hands-on beekeeping skills.Mentoring sessions can cover hive inspections, Varroa mite management, swarm prevention, making splits, smoker use, feeding, queen evaluation, and other essential beekeeping skills. Our goal is to help new beekeepers build practical knowledge, confidence, and better hive-management habits.

Is your honey raw and local?

Yes. We produce raw wildflower honey from central Georgia, available in sizes from a 3-ounce honey bear up to a 12 pound bucket. Raw local honey is unprocessed and reflects the regional flora around Griffin, GA.
