Bee Hive Hands-On Personal Mentoring in Our Apiary

  • Personalized & Private Sessions

    • One-on-one or private small group (up to 6 people)

    • No other beekeepers scheduled during your time

    • Casual, conversational, and educational

  • Hands-On Hive Experience

    • Inspect a live hive in the backyard Griffin apiary

    • Explore worker bees, pollen, honey, drones, eggs, larvae—and maybe the queen!

    • Get that perfect photo holding a frame of bees

    • $75 for the first attendee, $45 for each additional up to six for the first hour (minimum)

  • Travel Fee Beyond 10 Miles

    • $2 per mile (one-way only) beyond the first 10 miles

    • Example: 20 miles from Griffin = $95 + $20 (10 extra miles × $2)

    • The return trip is not charged

  • Additional Time

    • $37.50 for each additional 30 minutes

    • Focused on protecting and preserving healthy bee populations

  • What We Can Do

    • Relocate visible swarms of honey bees found in open spaces (e.g., tree branches, fences, bushes)

    • Quick, humane, and eco-friendly removal whenever possible

  • What We Don’t Do

    • No removals from hidden or enclosed locations (e.g., inside walls, attics, sheds, or other structures)

    • Swarm must be clearly accessible and identifiable as honey bees

  • Important Notes

    • Free service is limited to a 15-mile radius from Griffin, GA. Longer distances available for a nominal travel charge.

    • While we try to respond to every request, a response is not guaranteed

Pop Pop’s Apiaries LLC is a family-owned beekeeping business based in Georgia, founded in 2020 after growing from a small hobby that began in 2017. What started with three colonies quickly expanded into multiple apiaries dedicated to raising strong, healthy honey bees and producing high-quality local honey.

Our founder earned the Journeyman Beekeeper certification in 2022 through the Alabama Master Beekeepers Program. In 2025, he was voted Beekeeper of the Year by the Coweta Beekeepers Association.

​

In 2022, he also received his Georgia Certified Private Applicator License through the University of Georgia Extension Entomology Department, gaining advanced knowledge of pesticide regulations and the effects of agricultural chemicals on honey bees and other pollinators. This training strengthens our commitment to responsible hive management and pollinator protection.

Together, this advanced training and recognition reflect extensive knowledge in honey bee biology, hive management, pest control, and sustainable beekeeping practices — ensuring the bees and products we provide meet high standards for health and quality.
