Why Does Honey Color and Flavor Change Each Year?

Honey is a natural agricultural product, and no two harvests are exactly alike. The color, flavor, and aroma of honey can vary from year to year depending on:

  • Which flowers and trees are producing nectar during the season
  • Rainfall, temperature, and overall weather patterns
  • Bloom timing and nectar availability
  • Seasonal variations across Georgia's diverse landscapes

A wetter spring, a drier summer, or a shift in dominant nectar sources can all influence the final honey crop. These natural variations are a sign of authentic, minimally processed honey and make each harvest unique.

Raw and Coarsely Filtered

Our honey is raw and coarsely filtered to retain pollen, preserving many of the natural components found in the hive while removing only larger particles such as bits of wax. We do not ultra-filter or over-process our honey, allowing you to enjoy the authentic flavor, aroma, and character of Georgia honey just as nature intended.

Note: Honey should not be given to infants under 12 months of age.
